Angus D. Palmer - General Manager
General Manager of Upper Canada Property Management since the firm's
founding in 2000, Angus Palmer has spent the past two decades driving
the development and management of 24 different housing complexes,
totaling over 800 units throughout Ontario. Five of those years
were spent as the owner of Morningstar Consulting Inc., one of the
largest and most successful development consulting firms in Northern
and Central Ontario.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Angus Palmer is a member
of the Canadian Condominium Institute, and has been certified by
the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada to deliver its workshops.
He has completed all four courses necessary to become a Registered
Condominium Manager.
Palmer has also played an active role in his community, having
served on a number of United Way committees; helped found a homeowners' association; and served as Vice-President of Agincourt Community Services Association.
Ralph West - Manager
Ralph joined Upper Canada after more than 15 years working in the co-operative housing sector and then managing a large non-profit housing project for special needs tenants. In addition to many years as an on-site property manager, Ralph has also been involved in the development of co-operative housing projects where he facilitated the processes of establishing each new co-op’s organizational structures, as well as the hiring and training of staff. He has also worked as a co-op housing federation staff member where he served as an instructor and consultant for the individual co-ops that were members of the federation As a certified Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada Instructor, and a trained mediator, Ralph is also available to provide shorter term assistance to individual housing projects experiencing difficulties.
Anita Christie - Financial Controller
A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Anita is a Certified Management Accountant. She has held senior positions in accounting for over 20 years and previously worked for more than 10 years in a commercial property management company. In her current role, she oversees the financial and accounting aspects of Upper Canada and its clients. She is a valuable resource to our site staff in dealing with issues of accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, investments and answering any financial questions. Anita enjoys listening to classical music and has been a pianist for a few decades.
Stacey Pazhyltseva - Accounting Clerk
Stacey is the Accounting Clerk for Upper Canada Property Management. She joined Upper Canada in 2009 and handles all aspects of accounts payable and some accounts receivable functions. Stacey was born in the Ukraine where she attended Odessa State University. She has a diploma in Marketing and Economy and has completed various Accounting and Computerized Accounting courses at George Brown College.
Elizabeth Else - Property Manager
Having worked eleven years with Bentall Properties Ltd. in Etobicoke,
Elizabeth brings to her position an extensive knowledge of residential,
commercial and industrial property management. Having had sole responsibility
for three multi-tenant buildings, she is well qualified in the areas
of move-in and move-out inspections, lease renewals, tenant services,
and co-ordination of maintenance. Elizabeth has been with Upper
Canada Property Management almost since its inception.
Milroy Hoosein - Property Manager
A Registered Condominium Manager, and member of the Association
of Condominium Managers of Ontario, Milroy Hoosein has also completed
all of the requirements for the Institute of Property Management's
Accredited Membership Program. Prior to joining the staff of Upper
Canada Property Management, Milroy managed five condominium complexes,
as well as having been a building manager for a 320 unit high rise
apartment. He brings to his position a sound understanding of condominium
management, as well as a thorough knowledge of the Tenant Protection
Act.
Jennifer Downey - Property Manager
Property Manager at Leta Brownscombe Co-operative Homes Inc. in
Peterborough, Jennifer Downey's responsibilities include general member
relations; co-ordinating member move-ins and move-outs; income
verification and housing charge calculations; arrears collections;
maintenance administration; and a variety of bookkeeping and accounting
tasks. Prior to joining Leta, Jennifer was an Office Assistant for Greentech Services Non-Profit.
Orianna Lessard - Property Manager
Property Manager at Project Amik in Toronto, Orianna Lessard's responsibilites include co-ordinating member move-ins and move-outs; arrears collections; co-ordination of maintenance and member relations. Although new to Property Management, Orianna brings a wealth of skills to the team. Prior to joining Amik, for 12 years Orianna managed the operations and staffing of a small local business. She also worked in the health care field with geriatrics, specializing in Alzheimers. Orianna holds a Legal Assistant diploma. Aboriginal herself, she is pleased to be working in the Native community.
